Coco de Mer Comes To The States

What's the best way to celebrate the opening of a brand new high-end sexuality boutique in Los Angeles? With a tea party, of course. Meet Coco de Mer, a luxury exotic emporium launched by sisters Sam and Justine Roddick that is well-known in London and now boasts a U.S. flagship store on Melrose Avenue.

Hosted by Dave Stewart, guests, including Ringo Starr, Lily Tomlin and Pamela DeBarres, were greeted by waiters in top hats holding silver trays of Perrier-Jouet's Grand Brut, iced tea and lemonade, then encouraged to venture through the shop to take a peek at the goodies Coco had to offer. Having worked up an appetite, guests were then invited to the garden to nosh on decadent cakes and sweets as Tina Schieske and Carina Round performed acoustic sets, and Deepak Chopra spoke on the healing powers of sexual energy, love and Kama Sutra. How do you follow up a speech by Deepak Chopra? With a performance from Miss World Burlesque, Kitten Deville, of course!
